| Background | Cytokeratin 10 is heterotetramer of two type I and two type II keratins. Similar to Cytokeratin 1, it is only expressed in subprabasal layers with increasing expression as epidermis matures. The expression of Cytokeratin 10 is helpful in identification of more differentatiated squamous cell carcinomas derived from various internal sites of stratified epithelia. |
