| Background | Cluster of Differentiation 8 (CD8) is a transmembrane glycoprotein that serves as a co-receptor for the T-cell receptor. It is expressed in cytotoxic T-cells, natural killer cells, cortical thymocytes, some null cells, and bone marrow cells. Anti-CD8, in a panel of other antibodies, may be used to differentiate between reactive and neoplastic T-lymphocytes. |
