Background | CD57, also known as HNK-1 (human natural killer-1) , is a cell surface carbohydrate epitope expressed on terminally differentiated T-cells and subsets of natural killer (NK) cells.1 It has also been identified on cells of neural crest origin.2 Anti-CD57 is often used to visualize the non-neoplastic bystander T-cells that may form rosettes around the neoplastic lymphocyte-predominant (LP) cells in nodular lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin lymphoma (NLPHL).3 |
