| Function | Isoform 1: Nuclear hormone receptor. Isoform 2: Lacks ligand binding affinity and suppresses ESR1/ER-alpha and ESR2 isoform 1/ER-beta1 mediated transcriptional activation and may act as a dominant negative regulator of estrogen action. Isoform 3: Unable to bind DNA and activate transcription due to the truncation of the DNA binding domain. Isoform 4: Unable to bind DNA and activate transcription due to the truncation of the DNA binding domain. |
