Current Stock:
Host: Yeast
Reactivity: Human
Note: STRICTLY FOR FURTHER SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH USE ONLY (RUO). MUST NOT TO BE USED IN DIAGNOSTIC OR THERAPEUTIC APPLICATIONS.
Short Description: Recombinant-Human EGF-No tag protein was developed from yeast and has a target region of No tag. For use in research applications.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.22 Mu m filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4.
Immunoreactivity: Active Recombinant Human EGF enhances AKT (Ser473) autophosphorylation in A431 cells.10 ng/mL of Recombinant Human EGF can effectively enhance AKT (Ser473) autophosphorylation.
Gene Symbol: EGF
Gene ID: 1950
Uniprot ID: EGF_HUMAN
Immunogen: 1.Recombinant Human EGF Protein is produced by HEK293 cells expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Asn971-Arg1023) of human EGF (Accession #NP_001954.2) fused with no tag.2.Measured by its ability to stimulate AKT (Ser473)
Post Translational Modifications O-glycosylated with core 1-like and core 2-like glycans. It is uncertain if Ser-954 or Thr-955 is O-glycosylated. The modification here shows glycan heterogeneity: HexHexNAc (major) and Hex2HexNAc2 (minor).
Function EGF stimulates the growth of various epidermal and epithelial tissues in vivo and in vitro and of some fibroblasts in cell culture. Magnesiotropic hormone that stimulates magnesium reabsorption in the renal distal convoluted tubule via engagement of EGFR and activation of the magnesium channel TRPM6. Can induce neurite outgrowth in motoneurons of the pond snail Lymnaea stagnalis in vitro.
