Trial size ADNP antibodies available in the Antibody Validation Project
Trial size ADNP antibodies available in the Antibody Validation Project
Introduction:
ADNP, also known as Activity Dependent Neuroprotector Homeobox, is an important part of DNA packaging and chromatin remodeling. Despite its importance to sustaining normal functions, many mutations of this gene lead to some of the hardest to treat diseases including Autism and the ADNP syndrome, which is triggered by at least 22 different mutations of this gene. We provide a number of trial sized antibodies, which are suitable for ADNP research purposes, and to help you make the right decision and find the best suited antibody for you, please find the answers to some of the key topics regarding ADNP that we have provided in the links below.

What is ADNP?
The ADNP gene is responsible for making a protein, which controls the expression of other genes via chromatin remodeling, and changing how densely is DNA packed. Because of its role in gene regulation, it is also responsible for many aspects of development, particularly normal brain development and the function of the other body systems.
Where is ADNP found?
ADNP is widely expressed across the body, but it can be found present at higher levels in the heart, kidneys, placenta and skeletal muscle. In the brain ADNP can be found in particularly high levels in the cortex and cerebellum regions.
What role does ADNP play in disease?
Gene mutations in ADNP cause impairment of chromatin remodeling and leads to disruption in the proper formation and function of many tissues and organs including the brain. The two most common diseases related are the ADNP syndrome and Autism spectrum disorder.
