Note: STRICTLY FOR FURTHER SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH USE ONLY (RUO). MUST NOT TO BE USED IN DIAGNOSTIC OR THERAPEUTIC APPLICATIONS.
Short Description : Rabbit polyclonal antibody anti-TRPC4AP (C-Term) is suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot research applications.
Clonality : Polyclonal
Conjugation: Unconjugated
Isotype: IgG
Formulation: Lyophilised
Purification: IgG purified
Dilution Range: IHC, WB. A dilution of 1:300 to 1:2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Storage Instruction: Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at-20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, Glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Gene Symbol: TRPC4AP
Gene ID: 26133
Uniprot ID: TP4AP_HUMAN
Immunogen Region: C-Term
Specificity: Specific for TRPC4AP.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide from the c-terminal region of human TRPC4AP (TRUSS) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat and mouse.
Function Substrate-recognition component of a DCX (DDB1-CUL4-X-box) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex required for cell cycle control. The DCX(TRPC4AP) complex specifically mediates the polyubiquitination and subsequent degradation of MYC as part of the DesCEND (destruction via C-end degrons) pathway. The DesCEND (destruction via C-end degrons) pathway recognizes a C-degron located at the extreme C terminus of target proteins, leading to their ubiquitination and degradation. The DCX(TRPC4AP) complex specifically recognizes proteins with an arginine at the minus 3 position (R-3 motif) at the C-terminus, such as MYC, leading to their ubiquitination and degradation. Also participates in the activation of NFKB1 in response to ligation of TNFRSF1A, possibly by linking TNFRSF1A to the IKK signalosome. Involved in JNK activation via its interaction with TRAF2. Also involved in elevation of endoplasmic reticulum Ca(2+) storage reduction in response to CHRM1.
