Target Information

Pyruvate Dehydrogenase E1 Alpha 1 (PDHA1) encodes a key subunit of the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex, which converts pyruvate into acetyl-CoA for entry into the Krebs cycle. PDHA1 mutations cause pyruvate dehydrogenase deficiency, leading to lactic acidosis, neurological impairment, and metabolic disorders affecting energy production.
