Plays a positive role in EGF-dependent cell proliferation by prolonging EGF/EGFR signaling during EGF stimulation through EGFR ubiquitination. Increases ERK activity independently of EGFR signaling by promoting polyubiquitination and subsequent degradation of VRK3 in the cytosol.
