Anti-CD56 antibodies

What is CD56

The neural cell adhesion molecule, also known as CD56, is a member of the immunoglobulins and plays an important role in adhesion.

This transmembrane glycoprotein is abundant in the nervous system, expressed in isoforms ranging from 120 to 180 kDa.

In the immune system, CD56 can be found on both NK and T-cells, where it participates in cell migration and adhesion.
