||NZ White Rabbit polyclonal anti-200 Neurofilament antibody is suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot.

||Shipped as lyophilised. Reconstitute in 100 µl of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
||Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at-20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
||A dilution of 1:1000 to 1:2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
||A synthetic peptide from aa region 150-200 of human 200 Neurofilament conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in mouse and rat.
| Function || Neurofilaments usually contain three intermediate filament proteins: NEFL, NEFM, and NEFH which are involved in the maintenance of neuronal caliber. NEFH has an important function in mature axons that is not subserved by the two smaller NF proteins. May additionally cooperate with the neuronal intermediate filament proteins PRPH and INA to form neuronal filamentous networks. |
