Note: STRICTLY FOR FURTHER SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH USE ONLY (RUO). MUST NOT TO BE USED IN DIAGNOSTIC OR THERAPEUTIC APPLICATIONS.
Short Description: Phospho-Annexin A2 Blocking Peptide is synthetically produced from the 1-50 aa sequence and is suitable for use in western blot applications.
Storage Instruction: Store at-20°C for long term storage. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Gene Symbol: ANXA2
Gene ID: 302
Uniprot ID: ANXA2_HUMAN
Immunogen Region: 1-50 aa
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to Human Annexin A2 protein with phosphorylated serine 12 and threonine 18 residues. Synthetic peptide was taken within amino acid region 1-50.
Post Translational Modifications Phosphorylation of Tyr-24 enhances heat stress-induced translocation to the cell surface. ISGylated.
Function Calcium-regulated membrane-binding protein whose affinity for calcium is greatly enhanced by anionic phospholipids. It binds two calcium ions with high affinity. May be involved in heat-stress response. Inhibits PCSK9-enhanced LDLR degradation, probably reduces PCSK9 protein levels via a translational mechanism but also competes with LDLR for binding with PCSK9. (Microbial infection) Binds M.pneumoniae CARDS toxin, probably serves as one receptor for this pathogen. When ANXA2 is down-regulated by siRNA, less toxin binds to human cells and less vacuolization (a symptom of M.pneumoniae infection) is seen.
